The LightForm was conceived by the artist, Christian de Falbe, as he was struggling to come to terms with a very difficult period in his life: he was recently divorced, his business had failed and he was was facing an increasing mountain of personal debt.
Initially sketched out on the back of one his signature Gauloise cigarette packets, the LightForm gave him hope.
It reconfirmed his creative talents; he started to believe that those creative talents would enable him to start making a living again; and it visually focused his mind and inspired him every morning to make it through that day until he reached the ‘gap’ of night time and sleep … before he had to start all over again.
